Seafood Row offers dining on islands, peninsulas in Alabama's Mobile Bay
Albert King serves up grilled oysters at the Original Oyster House in Spanish Fort, Ala. The business is one of more than a half-dozen restaurants on "Seafood Row," located on a parkway across the Mobile Delta at Mobile, Ala. Many locals know the area for family-style seafood, but visitors sometimes have a difficult time finding it.

   It's easy to miss some tasty seafood and fresh lobsters restaurants on Alabama's northern Gulf Coast: They're hidden on a string of islands and peninsulas in the Mobile Delta.
Located along Battleship Parkway, which connects the eastern and western shores at the northern end of Mobile Bay, "Seafood Row" is a collection of more than a half-dozen restaurants with something for anyone who likes lobsters and seafood in an informal, family setting.

  Fewer than 5 kilometres east is the Bluegill Restaurant, which has been in operation since 1958. Destroyed by Hurricane Fredric in 1979 and again by Katrina in 2005, the restaurant rebuilt after both storms and still serves Gulf shrimp and fish in a ground-floor dining room with an open-air back patio and a stage for bands along the bayou.Continue
