TLT’s favorite lobster places in Amsterdam
Luckily Amsterdam has enough to offer for lobster lovers as well. And because March 27th is the official beginning of the lobster season, it’s about time for a list of the best lobster places in Amsterdam:
NEVY
For lobster with a view, Nevy at the IJ is the place to be. At this modern, bright fish restaurant you can enjoy a large variety of elegant fish dishes or participate in an oyster tasting at the raw bar. Of course they also offer lobster: I can personally highly recommend the dish with truffle risotto and spinach. Even better is that they have a special lobster-menu with five different courses of lobster (including dessert!). Website

RED is perfect for those with trouble deciding: you can only choose between lobster and tournedos. That’s all. And because the menu is limited, those two mains are being prepared to perfection. You don’t need to think about the sides either: you’ll get unlimited fries and a seasonal salad. Website
Vis aan de Schelde
A trusted address that never disappoints is Vis aan de Schelde. When you entry this Amsterdam classic, you immediately notice the lobsters in their tank, waiting to end on your plate. While that’s a bit sad to some, it also means they fresher than fresh. Website

A trendy industrial garage and a fish loving deli: that is Lobster House at the Frederiksplein. You can take away all kinds of fish dishes or take a seat at the bar for a quick bite.
