lobster out of season

By Joe Avary and Kevin Watler

The DOE says allowing the animals to reproduce during their mating season will ensure there will be plenty to enjoy year after year.

“30, 40 years ago we didn’t have such a large population, so the take of lobsters was far less than it is now, so once you have a higher population there’s much more stress on that resource,” said Bradley Johnson with DOE.
