Rare orange lobster is quite a catch for Nordic Lodge in R.I.


Lisa Brown, left, and Nancy Log, co-owners of the Nordic Lodge in Charlestown, show off the rare orange lobster they received in a recent shipment. The sisters own the restaurant with their brother Steven Persson. The business was started by their parents and grandparents in 1963.

The Nordic Lodge in Charlestown, which serves 6,000 to 7,000 pounds of lobster every weekend, found an orange lobster in a shipment from The Lobster Trap in Bourne, Mass.
“He came in with our usual deliveries last weekend,” said Lisa Brown, one of the owners of the Nordic Lodge, which offers a seafood and steak buffet. “One of our employees came across this orange lobster. He brought it to all of our attention.” Continue reading
