Easton Republicans party at Lobster Steak and Bake ‘friend-raiser’

The Easton Republican Town Committee held its annual Lobster and Steak Bake at Aspetuck Park on Saturday.

In addition to enjoying the great food, guests were able to speak with candidates running for office, including gubernatorial candidate state Sen. John McKinney, state Rep. Tony Hwang, who is running for the seat vacated by Mr. McKinney, state Rep. John Shaban, who is seeking re-election to his seat, and Probate Judge T.R. Rowe, who is also running for re-election. Thousands of people flock to Maine, year-round, for many different reasons. Festivals and events are a great way to attract visitors. The money they spend stays here and helps the local economy. 

A biathlon, a lobster festival, and a multinational gathering of the tribes might not seem to have a lot in common, but each brings hoards of visitors to Maine. The Maine Lobster Festival draws throngs to the Rockland waterfront each August for a five-day celebration of all things lobster.

Crack your first lobster claw of the season at Mystic Seaport's butter-dribbling, shell-sucking, quintessentially New England Lobster Days during Memorial Day Weekend. Lobsters in the rough are served by the Mystic Rotary Club. 

Lobster platters are served picnic-style under the open-air Boat Shed where diners can watch boats cruising on the Mystic River and enjoy music of the sea. All proceeds from Memorial Day Weekend support the Mystic Rotary Club's community organizations and projects.

Lobster Dinner Fundraiser

Join the Mississauga Credit Valley AM Rotary Club for their annual all-you-can-eat (AYCE) Lobsterfest Charity Benefit Dinner in support of the Eden Community Food Bank.

The fundraiser will happen on May 23 and the Vic Johnson Community Centre in Streetsville. Tickets ($75) includes AYCE fresh Maritime lobster, roast beef, sides, salads, dessert and more!

Your ticket will also grant you access to Mississauga’s own Time Trip Band who will be playing popular dance, rock, Top 40 and R&B hits from the ’60s to today! The silent auction table will also be open, with prizes sure to appeal to everyone in attendance.

The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for cocktails, with dinner beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Lobster Festival’s annual Art Trail and Seafood Trail launched in Cromer

Lobster Festival launches Boat Art Trail and Delicious Seafood Trail

The Crab and Lobster Festival’s annual Art Trail and Seafood Trail launched in Cromer and Sheringham on Good Friday, 19 April.

Over 70 decorative boats have popped up in shop windows and open spaces across Cromer, Sheringham and further afield as part of the Bootiful Boat Art Trail and local eateries are hosting delicious seafood in celebration of the annual Seafood Trail.

Both trails are featured on a Festival Trail leaflet which can be picked up in local tourist information centres. Continue
