Lobster season closed from April 1 - June 30
The Fisheries Division has announced that the annual closed season for spiny lobsters will run from April 1 to June 30 and new regulations which govern the closed season are in effect.
According to the division, any person or entity planning to have spiny lobsters or their parts in their possession, must make a declaration by month end.
It says they may sell, process or export up until April 21, but after that it will be illegal to be in possession of the lobsters.
The Fisheries Division says it will also be illegal to fish for the lobsters and if any are caught in nets they must be returned to the water.
