Yang's Chinese Seafood Cuisine, Markham - An Impromptu Giant Fresh Lobster Feast
ByCharles Yu Lobster NewsJust as 'Molten Chocolate Cake' was a featured menu item in most restaurants a few years back, Nowadays, almost all decent Chinese restaurants offer Giant Lobster dishes on their menu.
However, when it comes to preparing the 'Giant Beast' a number of ways in the same meal, O'Mei, Richmond Hill still dominates this unique landscape and is the 'go to' place for this treat.....UNTIL NOW!!!
This evening, my family of four had an impromptu dinner together by re-visiting the newly opened Yang's Chinese Seafood, Markham. ( An excellent Dim Sum luncheon at this place was posted a while back ).

Live Maine lobster & 8 oz.
filet mignon and chilled extra large jumbo cooked
shrimp with fresh cocktail sauce.
Based on the classy decor and quiet ambiance created by the high ceiling, Yang's made an immediate first salvo direct hit when compare to the outdated and run-down decor of O'Mei.
Another direct hit was scored by Yang's when we noticed the pricing of their Giant Lobster. At only $17 per pound, they were $7 less than the current whopping $24 per pound charged by O'Mei!! The KNOCK-OUT punch came, when the delicious food arrived accompanied by the 'BEST' dining service I have ever received from a Toronto Fresh Lobster Chinese restaurant!!
Really friendly, attentive and professional. Kudos to the management and the wait staff!
Our Giant Lobster 3 ways consisted of:
- Fried Fresh Lobster Tail Nuggets with Salted Duck Egg Yolk Coating
- Stirred Fry Body and Claws with Maggi Sauce
- Steamed Egg Custard 'Charamushi' with Tomalley. Read more.
