Lobster Tails cooking

Broiled Lobster Tails

It’s been forever since I have posted – I have no real reason for it except for perhaps writer’s block? Life’s been busy and I’ve just been enjoying it!
Greg and I haven’t cooking as much lately, but the other night we embarked upon a new cooking adventure. I’ve been dying to make lobster tails. Not really sure why that is. Every time we’d go to the Hen House we shop at, and I’d see the tails in the seafood display, I’d think that I wanted to try them, and so I finally did.
We didn’t really go by any particular recipe. We did a little online research and I made a call to my mom and we kind of just combined the elements of all the above that sounded best to us. We decided that broiling the tails was the way to go.
I’ve never really cooked much with seafood but after this, I would like to do more of it!
We cut the tails open and pulled the meat out….

And then we put butter, paprika, and garlic pepper on them…

After that, we broiled them on high for just a little more than 6 minutes. I also made my Oven Roasted Tomatoes as a side, plus we had salads with them as well.  below is the end result. They were delicious! We will definitely be doing this again sometime.
(We did make a garlic butter dip for the lobster meat since the meat inside didn’t catch all of the delicious flavor.) Continue reading
