The Portage la Prairie Rotary Club is holding their Lobster festival on Saturday, May 3.
On Saturday, May 3 at 6 p.m., Rotary is hosting their first ever Lobsterfest at the PCU Centre. “We’ve got live lobster being flown in right from Nova Scotia,” said Hazen Barrett, chair of the Lobsterfest committee.
Dinner includes one lobster, a baked potato,
coleslaw, a roll, dessert and one beverage. Tickets are $60 and can be
purchased from any Rotarian or at the PCU Centre.
It should be a fun-filled
night, said Barrett, with music during dinner by Gabrielle Ogilvie
followed by a dance featuring live music from Moose Unit from 8 p.m. to
midnight. There will also be a 50/50 draw at 9:30 p.m.
Money raised from the event isn’t earmarked for any specific cause as of yet.Read more
