Lobster Council Pleased with Canada-Korea Trade Agreement

     The Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement is eliminating 70 per cent of all tariffs on seafood exported in the next five years. Executive Director of the Lobster Council of Canada, Geoff Irvine, told VOCM Backtalk with Jonathan Richler that the agreement is what Atlantic Canada needs to stay competitive in the Asian market.

  He says the US has had a free trade agreement with South Korea for years, and that this agreement puts us on equal footing with our biggest lobster competitor.
