Governor LePage Salutes Maine Lobster
Pictured above, Governor Paul R. LePage speaks at the Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative’s reception at the Exchange Conference Center in Boston on Monday. The event, held in conjunction with the Seafood Expo North America, brought together Maine lobster harvesters, dealers and buyers from around the world to socialize and share lobster dishes prepared by Food Network celebrity chef Michele Ragussis who is also the Head Chef at the Pearl in Rockland.
Governor LePage expressed his pride in the Maine lobster industry and appreciation for the buyers in attendance for their interest in doing business with the Maine lobster industry. “Maine lobster is the best in the world,” said Governor LePage. “I’m proud of the hard working men and women who have made this one of our state’s most lucrative industries and a vital part of our state’s identity and economy.”
The Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative was established through legislation in 2013 to conduct marketing activity for Maine lobster. For more information, visit the MLMC website.
